Join us for an unforgettable 5-day walking retreat, immersed in the breathtaking beauty of the Far North Queensland rainforests. Sacred Steps offers a unique blend of daily walks, spiritual reflection, and insightful discussions.
Includes accommodation, all meals, transport, and guided walks to key places in the Far North.
Retreat starts at 6 pm on Sunday with dinner and finishes at 1:30 pm on Friday with lunch. Participants need to have a reasonable level of fitness.
Retreat is limited to only 15 participants. Participants are welcome to arrive a day or two early, or to stay on afterwards, to enjoy the surroundings and other things that Far North Queensland and the Wet Tropics have to offer.
This integral ecology program, inspired by Pope Francis‘ Encyclical – Laudato Si‘, brings together action and contemplation, celebrating the sacredness of creation, and fostering a more harmonious relationship with nature and with God, the creator.
Daily guided walks: Explore iconic Wet Tropics destinations including Fitzroy Island, Mossman Gorge in the Daintree National Park, The Atherton Tablelands, Northern Beaches, Glacier Rock Lookout, and Barron River Gorge. Daily walks average Grade 3 (trails may have steep hill sections, rough surfaces and natural steps.)
Spiritual reflection: Engage in meaningful discussions and guided reflections.
Healthy, simple living within Earth’s limits: Mindful eating of abundant, fresh, seasonal, local, and ethically sourced meals.
